Lenny Murphy

Leonard “Lenny” Murphy has been in the Market Research industry for over a decade in various senior levels roles, most notably as CEO of full service agency Rockhopper Research and start-up BrandScan360. Recently his attention has shifted to working with multiple organizations to help advance innovation and strategic positioning of the market research industry, most prominently as the Editor-in-Chief of the GreenBook Blog and GreenBook Research Industry Trends Report. Mr. Murphy is a key consultant to numerous market research agencies and an advisor to several technology focused start-ups via his consulting practice.

He is involved with numerous organizations including The ARF, NY AMA NewMR & MRGA, Chairs and produces conferences globally in collaboration with other leading organizations, and speaks about the future of market research and how to deliver maximum impact at many events annually. He lives in Atlanta, GA with his four children, should- be-sainted wife, two dogs, and a clinically insane cat.

Gregg Archibald

Gregg Archibald is a marketing researcher and strategist dedicated to helping the research industry navigate the waves of change that are making the field both more challenging and more exciting. Gregg has spent most of his career helping Fortune 500 companies and advertising agencies deepen their knowledge of consumer trends and insights and using that knowledge to drive profit and growth.

At Gen2 Advisors he is dedicating his expertise and experience to fostering robust growth and healthy bottom lines in the research industry itself. After more than 20 years of experience with companies like AT&T, Capital One, Marriott, and GE Financial, the excitement and enthusiasm for marketing research is still there.  He holds an MBA from the University of Memphis.  He spends his time in Richmond, VA with his son and two dogs (one is a blue-ribbon Frisbee dog).

Todd Powers, PhD

Todd M. Powers, PhD. has over 30 years of marketing research experience.  He has a proven track record of designing, implementing and analyzing market research initiatives in a variety of environments, including corporate, public sector, research vendor and academic positions.

Dr. Powers is currently a partner with Gen2 Advisors.  In this capacity, Dr. Powers serves as a thought leader on pressing issues at the leading edge of the industry.  He also consults as EVP – Primary Research with the Advertising Research Foundation.  Prior to joining the ARF, he held positions as Director of Brand and Advertising Research for IBM, Senior Market Research Advisor for Nortel Networks, and founder and President of PG Research, Inc., a market research consultancy in Raleigh, NC.  Dr. Powers earned his PhD in Social Psychology at North Carolina State University and a BA from Duke University.  He has served as an Adjunct faculty member at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Peter Orban

Peter consults on marketing and research in the mobile and social space for Gen2 Advisors. He started his career in advertising and spent almost 20 years with McCann, Y&R, Wunderman, and Dentsu in six countries on three continents. He used his extensive knowledge to articulate research questions and apply the findings to the marketplace. His passion for technology innovation led him to Deutsche Telekom, where he ran the Innovation and Corporate Development practice based in Europe.

Later, Peter co-founded an Internet technology startup, where his research led to various applications in social media and mobile commerce solutions. Most recently he established and led the mobile and social practice at the ARF. Peter studied economics and marketing at Corvinus University of Budapest, and strategic innovation (Blue Ocean Strategy) at INSEAD in Paris. He resides in Sleepy Hollow, New York, with his wife, Christina and their three children, each born on a different continent.

Kristine Mensching

Kristine is the Business and Operations Manager for Gen2. She is a Business Development and Administration specialist with eighteen years of marketing, management and business development experience. Kristine has been instrumental in the initiation and growth of about a dozen companies over the past two decades.

She earned her MBA from Memphis State University and BS in Marketing from The Florida State University. Kristine came on board with Gen2 Advisory Services in July 2014 to take on this motley crew of marketing research professionals. She spends her time away from her desk being a wife that her husband wishes would cook more; the team mom who relentlessly cheers on her two boys on the baseball field, and at karate; the earplug purchaser for when the family ‘band’ gets going down in the basement; and the Sunday school teacher for a precocious group of 4-year-olds.

Mike Taylor

Mike has been a part of the market research industry after graduating from Beijing Foreign Studies University. For nearly a decade Mike has worked for various organizations and agencies large and small, foreign and domestic. Prior to Gen2 Mike worked at Rockhopper Research and qual-focused Brand3Sixty.

At Gen2 Advisors he has turned his focus towards providing deep due diligence of suppliers and rolling out internal solutions to organize and the vast amounts of data gathered. Mike brings his unique insights and APAC market expertise to Gen2. Mike lives in Beijing, China with his wife, son and a well-traveled cat.
